“My practice consists largely of working with adolescents and young adults. My greatest assets are - an ability to connect with people in an accepting, non-judgmental and empathic way. Many young people today seek guidance and a better understanding of who they are and what they are feeling, their instinctive reactions and how to better understand themselves and gain from this crucial insight. Helping them through this life-changing learning process is my forte.”
~Chaim Biberfeld, LCSW, Therapist
Every child has tons of untapped potential, motivation, and the desire to flourish. One of my therapeutic approaches to helping children overcome Anxiety, Depression or Bipolar Disorders is by tapping into this place of potential and helping them to bring it out in a way that gets them excited about positive change. I have seen tremendous life changing results in my patients. It’s the reason I became a therapist.
Generalized Anxiety disorder, Depression, OCD (Including Scrupulosity), ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Relationship Issues (including abandonment and feelings of loss and rejection) and its attendant heartbreak, and life Coping Skills.
Being legally blind, Chaim has a unique ability to listen deeply and patiently, to be non-judgmental and understanding. Born in Montreal, Canada, Chaim speaks 4 languages and has spent many years caring for individuals and families in Canada, United States, and abroad.
There are 3 types of relationships which determine the quality of our lives. Our relationship with ourselves, Our relationships with others, and our relationship with life itself. Improving any one of these 3 in children and young adults leads to a better life for my patients and their families. Any improvement made in any one of these 3 types also helps the others to improve. Chaim focuses on getting results in these areas and to help create everlasting change. Chaim has a unique way of connecting to the patients and getting them to connect with him and his therapeutic approach.
